We did extensive research around transportable homes, KDH was by far the most impressive. Definitely easy to work with and great communication, especially Irene she was always on the end of the phone or email to answer questions and help out.
KDH was by far the easiest contractor we dealt with.

I really expected to find you and the garage people had shut up shop until the New Year so it was a very pleasant surprise to not only find you were still manning the ship but the garage people as well. We've had (purchased) a turn-key property in the past & we thought the workmanship was terrible. We've also lived in 3 brand new rental homes (we rented) & they too were terrible. The workmanship in our home from KDH is beyond our dreams & expectations. We are blown away the quality and the finishes are beautiful.
We absolutely love how the builders & subcontractors were willing to talk to us during the build! All the subcontractors but especially the builders were professional and friendly. George (KDH Production Manager) was particularly accommodating & friendly, we really appreciate the help he gave us throughout the build.

Always there with sound and practical advice and support. Irene took care of all of the council, NZTA, building consents, and more, with such patience and professionalism. She also took care of me during occasional moments of anxiety usually due to something I didn’t understand – she was definitely my “go to person”.
Once the build commenced in came Clint Whyte project manager extraordinaire. Always patient and professional, approachable. Clint ensured the site was immaculate at all times. That schedules were met. That the smallest detail was addressed. Also a downright nice guy. Nothing was too much trouble with "a Client comes first" attitude.

We had Kiwi Designer Homes build us a 92 sq metre home for our farm. It has three bedrooms with wardrobes in all three. Living, dining and kitchen in one plus a porch added to the back door for the farm. Blair (KDH Director) did a great job with the planning and the Council consents. This was backed by excellent office and administration through to the trades' people who worked on the house. It is a credit to their work the way the house had turned out, just fantastic! I came to Kiwi Homes in November looking for a home to be built in the country. The show home didn't work on the site I had chosen, so I completely redesigned it keeping within the 70sq metre necessary for a second dwelling on an existing property.
KDH personnel were totally accommodating to my requirements. Nothing was too much trouble. Once the house designed passed permission from Waipa Council the home was built in a very short time. They began work very early February and I was given a completion date of April 2nd. In fact the house was finished and handed over before this date on the 30th March, which included an extra week for outside paths etc.
All the tradesmen seemed to me to work at a very high standard and they were all polite and friendly throughout. I was living onsite while the house was being built and therefore I was able to watch the developments as they unfolded.
Everything I was promised in the specifications appeared to come to pass practically before my eyes. They were always willing to offer me alternative suggestions to help keep the price down.

We are so pleased with our new home, it felt as if it were our home right from day one and we are absolutely thrilled with the way our family is living.
The time taken from planning permission to moving in was around four months. Both Aidy and myself have been so impressed by the building team and their workmanship. They were always friendly and helpful and this made us both feel comfortable knowing the home was built to such a high standard.
The design process was also friendly and easy. Blair was happy to design to our specification, and to give advice if we needed. There was never a time we popped in unannounced when Blair or Irene did not have time to see us. We always felt valued and welcome. Irene kept us up to date with stage payments, any extras. She sent us along to choose our kitchens, and individualise our project. Irene was invaluable to calm the nerves, and always on hand for a friendly chat. Kiwi Homes were so patient, even when valuations and finances meant hiccups; they never stopped working on the site, and never laid the blame our way.
In contrast, Blair and Irene were quick to communicate with whomever they needed in order to solve the problems painlessly (for us!).
The decor, and kitchen are beyond our dreams, and the whole house is geared up to our way of life. The annex means that grandma has her own space, and again, Kiwi Homes allowed her to choose her own fittings and fixtures, with minimal fuss.
What impressed us most was the quality of the show houses, and Blair readily showed us the part built homes on their site. The quality was exceptional.
Kiwi Homes knew that our budget was tight, and allowed us to do substantial parts of the build ourselves, or via our own contractors. They were always on hand to help out whenever we wanted. Not that we're planning to for at least ten or fifteen years but we would build with Kiwi again!
We can whole heartedly (and do), recommend Kiwi Homes. Thanks to Kiwi Homes, we now have a home for our family to grow, we know there are plenty of memories to come.
